Wild Flour Bakery Artisan Bread

Wild Flour Bakery Milwaukee

We now have four Milwaukee Bakery Locations.

At Wild Flour Bakery we make artisan bread in the old world tradition of Europe. We raise our own sourdough cultures and bake our artisan bread on a stone hearth in our very own brick oven. This could be why Milwaukee Magazine says we have the "Best Bread In Milwaukee".

So come in and take a look at our artisan breads, delicious deli menu, amazing soups, and mouth watering pastries.

Our Wild Flour Website

April 24th, 2008

Hey, get out there and enjoy our beautiful Spring weather…. We’re excited because more people are coming out and visiting our stores.  Since our visit from Channel 6, Fox Wake-Up with Gus, business has picked up.  Some people who live close to our locations didn’t know we were around.  Tell your neighbors and friends about our great products.  We know we have the best bread in southeastern Wisconsin.   People tell us all the time they can’t believe how good it is…

A few changes have taken place in our product line.  As of April 1st we will not offer danish and turnovers due to reduced sales.  Also, our seasonal Almond Poppy Seed and Citrus muffin will be replaced with our Lemon Raspberry muffin.  A couple of favorites are returning…. the famous mini “Pineapple Upside-Down Cake” and a huge yummy chocolate favorite,  the “Beehive” is back.  Stop in and look for new items during the whole month of April and May.

Cookies, Cookies, Cookies!!  Our cookie line has really taken off.  All of our cookies are made with real butter, not soybean oil.  We have traditional favorites like Chocolate-Chip, Peanut Butter, Molasses and Sugar.  Our premium flavors include cranberry granola, Texas Ranger, Chocolate-Chip Preztle and a flourless cookie, the Monster.  Yes you can actually make a cookie without flour.

The country is running our of flour!  Yes it is true…it is a real flour shortage due to additional corn farming and other countries buying up the American wheat supply.  Fifty pound bags of flour that cost $9.50 last year is now over $30.00.  We don’t see things getting better until this year’s crop is harvested.  Our fear is that less wheat will be grown and prices go up more.  The word is Rye Flour will be out completely by May.

Starting in May and June the area Farmer’s Markets will be in full swing.  Gosh, we’re gonna be so busy…on Tuesdays Thiensville, WI, on Wednesdays..Grayslake, IL…on Thursday Barrington, IL..,Fridays will be Cedarburg and Gurnee, IL….and Saturdays..South Shore, Brookfield, Kenosha Harbor, New Berlin and East Town downtown..on Sunday a new market..Old South Side Market at 6th and Lincoln Ave..whew!  If you have any questions, just call us.

You can email us direct at www.admin@wildflour.com

We’d like to welcome our new Wild Flour staff member, Brandy at our Grand Aveune locations.  We posted the opening last week and got a lot of response.  Thanks to all that applied….

We now have an opening in our Bay View and Lincoln Avenue location for a cashier/counter-person.  If you’re interested, come to our 28th and Lincoln Aveune location and fill out an application.  Since the weather has improved we’ve been pretty busy.  Applicants should be out-going, friendly, customer-service oriented and be willing  to contribute as part of team.   Don’t delay, these jobs will be filled soon

A Morning with Gus

March 26th, 2008

On March 26 we had a wonderful visit with Gus Gnorski from Fox 6 News!  Just so happened he visited our Bay View store and tried a Cranberry-Walnut muffin.  Guess we had him hooked and he called us wanting to know our story.  Of course we love sharing our story about our breads.
